Each surname shows the year AND the image number. You will need to note these down.
The surname links to images from the 46,697 individuals recorded in approximately 1850 pages from the CEB's are now available to researchers here where you can select the year and image numbers you have noted down CLICK HERE FOR CENSUS ENUMERATORS BOOKS.

So for example researching the surname BANTAN yields BENTHAM and INGLETON (note that the surname may well be spelled differently from this index.)
